Tournament of Hope raises $60,000 to benefit The Victim Center of SW Missouri
The 8th Annual Tournament of Hope benefiting The Victim Center set a new donation record this year…$60,253!!! The tournament was held Monday, May 14, 2007 at Highland Springs Country Club. O&S Trucking, Inc. is the presenting sponsor for this event. And, for the second year, SRC Holdings Corp., Newstream Enterprises, Springfield Freightliner and Heavy Duty Rebuilders participated as corporate sponsors. This unprecedented amount could not have been achieved if not for these sponsors and community involvement. This tournament is the primary fundraiser for The Victim Center.
The Victim Center, a United Way agency, is the only organization of its kind serving Southwest Missouri. The group serves adults and children who have survived some form of violent or sexual crime. Among the people helped were victims of sexual assault and rape, child and adolescent sexual abuse and/or neglect, homicide, DWI, domestic violence, workplace violence, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and stalking. In addition, The Victim Center provides education to individuals in southwest Missouri.

O & S Trucking, Inc. is an employee-owned, full service truck line based in Springfield, MO. The company hauls dry and temperature-controlled freight. The corporate fleet is comprised of Independent Contractors, including a Lease Purchase division and company owned equipment.
